What holiday?

I just spent 2 weeks in the UK and it wasn't exactly the holiday I had planned. In fact the person I saw most of during my time away was the plumber, who was sorting out my boiler. It started off as just a simple change of part, and escalated spectacularly when he couldn't actually get the part off. He eventually left on Monday at 11am...just in time for me to leave at 12 and catch my plane back to Doha.

At least it was beautiful weather whilst I was there, in fact I think my hair might have got a bit blonder. I say this, not because it looks any different in the mirror, but because I managed to do something spectacularly stupid when I arrived back in Doha...

I started to un-pack, but didn't want to stay up too late as I had work the next day and am a very responsible person. Honest. Anyway, I decided 11.30pm would be a good time to hit the hay. However, as I jumped into bed I noticed that the time on my alarm clock was reading 1.30am. Opps. I was still running on UK time.

At least there's only a 2 hour time difference...and it's also a good thing I noticed then, rather than that next day when I was late for work.

(I may also have forgotten to shut my bedroom window, and had to send a friend round to close it for me, but I'm not going to tell anyone that.)

I'm staying out the sun in future.

Comments:
With how much plumbers can charge for labour and parts I hope you agreed on a fixed price at the beginning, cus if not for two weeks work you may have just paid for 8-week island hire in the Bahamas for him and 30 of his mates!!!

probably need to to change your name to "Barbie" after those blond moments :)

You must of forgot to reset your watch because of all that champagne supping!.....

(I'm not jealous....really)

ME? Champagne? As if!

PS What DID happen to that cheese? I cleared out my freezer, it certainly wasn't there. Maybe it's in the same place at the 'Ccccoooo-eeeeeee' banner. I really hope it's not in my loft...
