Parents, you've got to love them...
My parents came to Doha for a visit.

Now I wouldn't say they're useless....exactly...but I have my suspicions...
I left them alone for one day, whilst I had to go to work. I made sure there was food in the house and ordered them a cab for 2pm, to take them to the shops. What could go wrong?
The first text I got was at 11.30. They couldn't turn the telly on.
Then I got a call at 2. They couldn't get out the front door.
The most worrying text was at 5pm, saying, "When are you coming to pick us up? Starting to walk home now."
I found them about three quarters of an hour later asking some guy for directions. Mum was complaining that Dad had taken them the wrong way, and had lied about how far it was.
I'd only left them along for 9 hours and they were asleep for at least 2 of them. It's a wonder they ever managed to get out here in the first place, but come to think of it, I've not heard from them since I dropped them off at Doha airport. Maybe I should give them a ring...
Oh, and did I mention they blew up my hairdryer?

Er....Steff...I think parents can read your blog! The good new is they don’t do it very often, so let's not remind them …
