Thailand Today
Hello! I've just got back from a 2 week holiday in Thailand with my bessie mate Lyns. A stupid time of year to go really, during the southwest monsoon, but I assumed I'd see some sunshine inbetween the showers...stupid fool that I am.
Still, we started on Koh Tao, the quietest island of the Samui archipelago. I very cleverly forgot to take any pictures of the island, but I did take this picture of Lynsey, who has a very interesting way of sleeping:

That can't be comfortable!
We headed over to Koh Pha Ngan for the full moon party. The place was heaving, so the group from Simple Life in Koh Tao all wore yellow, so we could easily find each other:

This worked like a charm...until other people near us had a yellow t-shirt on, and we treated them like long lost friends. Oh well, nothing like being over-friendly to scare people off!
We caught the boat back to Koh Tao in the morning - the only time we saw the sunshine all holiday. To be honest after no sleep and drinking all night, I just wanted it to go away again...which it did, and was never seen again.
Finally we ended up on Koh Samui. I headed off first and met Murphy (Hello!). We found fish, saved baby Geckos, met a strange Thai child who seemed to think he was a sea monster, and tried wakeboarding in the rather choppy sea, which didn't really work!
Then Lyns and Casper arrived. Here's where Lyns and I were staying:

Mmmmm-mmm, truely romantic - wasted on you Lyns!
So this was our little party of four:

...which was taken shortly before evil Lyns and naughty Casper let off some very environmentally unfriendly lanterns:

I was obviously having nothing to do with it (what photos?) and I certainly won't be admitting how pretty they looked drifting off into the atmosphere. I just wonder where all the rusty bits of metal and half burnt out parafin end up, and when I find out, I'm going to post them all to Lynsey.
Apparently the higher they go the luckier you are, so I punched holes in theirs to make sure it sank. I'm joking, I'm joking...theirs went really high into the air, and I'm sure they'll both have a lifetime full of happiness.
I've now got to go and puke.
